When selecting and processing raw materials, we place particular emphasis on ensuring that our ropes and cords are optimally adapted to their intended application and meet the highest quality standards. Naturally, we also advise you on product selection, develop new products, and customize and finish products according to your requirements.

Materials

For our ropes and cords, we exclusively use branded raw materials. For sports and leisure applications, these include high-strength polypropylene (PP), polyester (PES), Perlon (PA.6) and nylon (PA.66). For industrial applications, we also use additional fibers such as aramid (Kevlar/Twaron/Nomex), Teflon (PTFE) and high-modulus polyethylene (HMPE). Many other raw materials are available for special applications.

Braiding Types

The All-Rounders

6/1 or 8/1 braided cords are the all-rounders among braided cords. Thanks to their simple braided construction, they are particularly durable and cost-effective, while still being highly resistant to wear and tear.

Due to its slightly coarser surface structure, this rope construction offers excellent knotting properties and is available in sizes from 0.5–10 mm.

Tip: 8/1 braids can also be produced as a square braid.

Kernmantle Ropes

Kernmantle ropes

Kernmantle ropes consist of a braided core and a surrounding braided sheath. This construction provides extremely low elongation.

Thanks to their two-component construction, these ropes can be optimally adapted to almost any application. Whether the sheath is designed to protect against UV radiation or abrasion, reduce friction, or serve as a substrate for impregnations, the core remains protected and carries the majority of the load.

Sizes: Available from 2–14 mm*, in* 16/1–48/2 braided constructions.

Braided Sleeves

Braided sleeves are braided flat without an additional tension member. They absorb sudden impacts and distribute the resulting forces over a large surface area, preventing the cord from cutting into the material or object it surrounds.

Thanks to the manufacturing process, they have no cut or woven edges that could fray or cause injuries.

Sizes: Available in widths from 8–25 mm, 16/1–48/2 braided.

Spiral-Braided Cords

Spiral-braided cords are extremely flexible, very soft, yet highly dimensionally stable. Due to their special braiding construction, these cords have slightly higher elongation than 8/1 braids or kernmantle ropes. At the same time, their tight braided structure makes them extremely resistant to fiber pull-out.

The braided structure is ideal for applications involving dynamic flexing loads.

Sizes: From 2–12 mm, 12-strand braid.

Elastic Cords

Elastic cords available in a wide range of colors

Elastic cords with an extruded natural latex core or special rubber cores (particularly temperature-resistant or highly flexible at low temperatures), single- or double-layer braiding, with a multifilament sheath or monofilament braiding – we manufacture them according to your individual requirements.

We are also flexible in terms of maximum elongation as well as force and elongation characteristics, allowing us to adapt our products precisely to the requirements of the application.

Sizes: Available from 3–10 mm, with 16/2 braiding.
