Our philosophy is closely linked to our history.
We constantly push the boundaries of what is possible, creating new innovations for your benefit.
This has made us one of the leading companies in the field of drive and conveyor technology. Together with our customers, we want to continue along this path.
…because we drive motion

Seilerei Pflug’s roots date back to 1755, and we developed over time into one of the leading companies in the field of drive and conveyor technology, specializing in the manufacture and development of round belts and components for mechanical and plant engineering.
Originally, raw materials such as flax, hemp, bast and fibers from a wide variety of trees and shrubs were processed to manufacture ropes for agriculture, construction and forestry. Today, we mainly use high tech fibers with a temperature resistance of up to 480°C and a tensile strength that far exceeds that of steel.
With the increase in industrialization at the beginning of the 20th century, the requirements placed on our products also changed. Drive belts were increasingly needed for power transmission and a wide variety of automation tasks. While round belts were initially manufactured entirely by hand using traditional methods, by the early 1950s we were already using machines for most of our production.
The development of synthetic fibers and our implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies have opened up a wide variety of new applications for our products over the years.
Whether for power transmission, conveyor belts or product orientation and handling, round belts have proven to be extremely cost effective and flexible design elements in all areas of mechanical engineering.
At the beginning of the 1990s, we developed computer controlled test benches and production machines, enabling us to consistently manufacture our products with an unrivaled level of quality.
The expansion of our profiling technology in recent years has significantly increased our manufacturing capabilities in the field of extrusion.
It is no coincidence that we supply more than 2,500 customers in over 45 countries worldwide.
